Sarah Graham is a freelance story artist and animator, born and raised in Midlothian, Virginia. She studied Studio Art at Radford University in Radford, VA and then received her Masters degree in Communications in Cinema-Television (Directing) at Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA.
After graduating Sarah wore many hats as a freelance artist, production designer, camera operator, video editor and director. A notable project from this time was working as an illustrator, creating concept art for ABC Signature Studios and Amazon Studios pilot Point of Honor (2015). In 2016 Sarah took on the role of video producer and then Creative Services Manager for the Virginia Department of Transportation where she managed the photo and video teams. While at VDOT Sarah wrote and animated Driver’s ‘Ed’-tiquitte: The Zipper Merge, an animation short that educates drivers on the zipper merge which went on to win numerous awards including a Telly award.
Sarah has recently returned to freelancing to focus on her first loves: story and visual development. She believes story is a lifeblood to the human existence, as to her own self. Sarah’s goal is to develop story and visuals in feature animation. She lives in Richmond, VA with her husband, son and dog. When she has some free time, you’ll find her in the middle of some sort of creative endeavor, riding horses, or yoga.
